Athenian Odyssey - One Day

Cooking Class Vacation Itinerary

Greek Cooking Classes in Athens, Greece

Your cooking adventure begins at 9 AM when you will meet Eleni in Glyfada Square and head off for a visit to a local al fresco vegetable market.  We will load our bags and head straight to the kitchen.  Our hands-on session will run between 4.5 and 5 hours and is planned around a traditional Greek meal:  Greek salad, Tzatziki (a traditional yogurt, garlic, and cucumber dip), rosemary/garlic/lemon roasted lamb, garlic-roasted potatoes, savory cheese or spinach pie with phyllo dough, stuffed eggplant with goat cheese and tomatoes, and, of course, baklava.  We will have an afternoon feast with everything we cooked on the table.  As a souvenir of your culinary adventure, you will take home a box of baklava and a liter of olive oil from Eleni’s family orchards, produced with olives harvested by the family themselves.

*Note:  The itinerary above applies if you select a date during which there are no 4-night programs operating.  If you opt to join in on one of the dates that are part of a scheduled 4-night trip, you will follow the itinerary for that day of the cooking class instead of the itinerary above.
