Cooking Class Vacation Itinerary

Greek Cooking Classes in Mykonos, Greece

Day 1 – Saturday – Transfer from Mykonos airport to the hotel. Settle in and relax before a short orientation walk around town led by your tour guide and cooking class translator, Sabina. Get to know your fellow classmates and Sabina at a welcome dinner at Paraportiani Taverna, a classic Greek taverna set behind the famous Paraportiani church on a town square where you will have your first introduction to typical Greek food. If you are lucky you may even get a glimpse of the pelicans who serve as Mykonos mascots!

Day 2 – Sunday, 9:30 to 3:30PM – After breakfast at your hotel, Sabina will accompany you to the local market to select ingredients for the cooking class. You will arrive at Sakis restaurant at around 10:30 AM, where your chef instructor Kostas will meet you in the kitchen to begin your first cooking class. Today’s lesson runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will focus on familiar Greek dishes such as tzatziki and mousaka. After a lunch based on your creations, you have the afternoon free to participate in an excursion or enjoy some down time.

Day 3 – Monday– Free day. Take advantage of one or more of our excursion offerings or feel free to explore Mykonos or the surrounding islands on your own.

Day 4 – Tuesday, 9:30 to 3:30PM – After breakfast at your hotel, Sabina will accompany you to the local market or other shops to gather materials for today’s cooking class. You will return to Sakis restaurant at around 10:30 AM and meet Kostas in the kitchen to begin your second cooking class. Today’s lesson runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will focus on some lesser known dishes such as eggplant patties, saganaki cheese, and chorta salad. After a lunch based on your creations, you have the afternoon free to participate in an excursion or enjoy some down time.

Day 5, - Wednesday – Free day. Take advantage of one or more of our excursion offerings or feel free to explore Mykonos or the surrounding islands on your own.

Day 6 – Thursday, 9:30 to 3:30PM – After breakfast at your hotel, Sabina will accompany you to the local market or other shops to gather materials for your last cooking class. You will return to Sakis restaurant at around 10:30 AM and meet Kostas in the kitchen to begin your third cooking class. Today’s lesson runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will focus on dishes you likely have never tried before, such as fish soup "kakavia" or shrimp saganaki. After a lunch based on your creations, you have the afternoon free to participate in an excursion or enjoy some down time.

Day 7 – Friday –Breakfast at your hotel and check out. We say farewell to beautiful Mykonos. Transfer to the Mykonos airport.
