Ancient Ephesus - ADD-ON TO ISTANBUL PROGRAM

Cooking Class Vacation Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart Istanbul and arrive in Izmir.  Meet your driver and drive to the Virgin Mary's House.  After that we visit Ephesus which was founded in the eleventh century BC by the Ionians.  Strolling through the streets of Ephesus, we will witness the perfection of Greco-Roman art and architecture.  Marvel at the archeological remains of the marble street, the library façade, and the great theater.  Later in the afternoon we will visit St John's Basilica, believed to be the tomb of the Apostle John, Christ's beloved disciple.  From the basilica, we will be able to look down on the remains of the temple of Artemis.  We end the day with our visit to the Isa Bey Mosque.  Your evening is free.
Day 2 – You have the day free to participate in a full-day excursion, or explore the Ephesus area on your own.
Day 3 – After breakfast at your hotel, you can either opt for the full-day tour to Pergamon or will be transferred back to the Izmir Airport for your return flight to Istanbul.
